Frenkie de Jong

Frenkie de Jong is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for La Liga club Barcelona and the Netherlands national team. Renowned for his elegant dribbling, close control, passing accuracy, and ability to break opposition lines, he is one of the most aesthetically pleasing midfielders in the modern game.

De Jong burst onto the European scene during Ajax's thrilling run to the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League semi-finals. His sensational performances earned him a blockbuster move to Barcelona, where he became a central figure in the midfield, dictating play and helping the club secure the La Liga title.

For the Dutch national team, De Jong is the orchestrator. His ability to receive the ball under pressure and effortlessly transition from defense to attack is vital to the "Oranje" style of play. He will be a key player for the Netherlands as they look to make a deep run in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
